Glowing Down the Aisle: Your Ultimate Guide to Wedding Spray Tans!

Updated: Oct 15, 2023

Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey, both as a new blogger and newlywed. Your support means the world to me, and I'm excited to share my experiences and insights with all of you. Let's embark on this exciting adventure together!
Your wedding day is one of the most special moments of your life, and having a flawless bridal glow undoubtedly enhances your confidence and beauty. As someone who recently experienced the magic of being a bride, I understand the excitement and the little details that make a big difference. In this blog post, I'm thrilled to share my firsthand knowledge and the best tips to ensure you achieve the perfect bridal spray tan for your big day.

Perfect Timing:
Let's talk timings. You need to be scheduling your spray tan session 1-3 days before your wedding day. This allows the tan to settle and any initial bronzer to wash off, leaving you with a subtle, sun-kissed glow on your wedding day. (Prior to scheduling your trial sessions, kindly verify the availability to ensure that suitable time slots are open for both the trials and your wedding tan appointment)

Opt for a Trial Run:
Consider having a trial spray tan 1-2 months before your wedding. This helps you find the ideal shade and gives you the opportunity to provide feedback, ensuring you get the perfect tan on your special day.
*Top Tip* - Time your trial with your makeup trial so that you can see the full final look. You could also tie this in with your hen/stag do.
Pre-Tan Prep:
Preparation is key to a flawless spray tan. Exfoliate your skin a day or two before your appointment to remove dead cells and ensure an even application. Focus on areas like elbows, knees, and ankles. Also, make sure your skin is well-moisturised; hydrated skin holds a tan better. Follow our list of prep tips which can be found on socials or via the website.
Nails, waxing, hair and any other pre-wedding appointment should be done at least a day before your spray tan.
Follow these and you'll get the best results from your tan. Clothing Choice Matters:
On the day of your appointment, wear loose, dark clothing to prevent rubbing against your skin. Loose attire ensures your tan develops evenly, and dark colours prevent any potential stains.
Opt for clothing that covers your skin adequately. We want to ensure your tan sets perfectly, and unfortunately the rainy weather can affect this process.

Post-Tan Care:
After your spray tan, avoid water and sweating for the first few hours. When you shower, use mild, sulfate-free products to maintain your tan. Pat your skin dry - Do not rub dry!
After your first shower, moisturise with an oil-free moisturiser or tan extender.
The Bronzing Custard which is included in the Tan Extender package will extend the life of your tan whilst keeping your skin hydrated.
Hydrated skin maintains a tan longer than dry, thirsty skin.
Confidence is Key:
Remember, your bridal spray tan is designed to enhance your natural beauty, not mask it. Embrace your confidence, and let your inner radiance shine through on your special day. A positive attitude makes any bride glow brighter! Your wedding day is a celebration of love, and feeling confident in your own skin is essential. A bridal spray tan, when done right, can give you that extra boost of confidence, making you feel like the radiant bride you are meant to be. By following these tips and embracing the process, you are sure to achieve a flawless, natural-looking tan that complements your beauty, allowing you to walk down the aisle with confidence.

Wishing you a day filled with love, laughter and unforgettable memories. Here's to your beautiful journey to becoming a glowing bride!

Best Wishes,
